Binno is an easy-to-use catalogue for the food in your cupboards, fridge and freezer, tracking best-before and use-by dates so nothing gets forgotten at the back of a shelf and thrown away. It works on your phone or laptop with nothing to download, so you can check it while you're cooking and update it while you're at the shops.
What a subscription includes
- What needs eating first - a running list of what is about to go off, so it gets cooked instead of binned.
- A built-in cooking assistant - it turns what is about to expire into something to cook, steered by a Chef you choose: quick and easy, budget-friendly, plant-forward, heart-healthy, batch-cook, single-pan or low-waste. Recipe Mode then walks you through the method a step at a time, in type big enough to read across a busy worktop.
- A shopping list that knows what you already have - it spots what you are running low on, leaves out what is still in the kitchen, and adds what you buy straight into your catalogue.
- A score for how little you waste - Binno keeps the record of what got eaten and what got thrown out, and turns it into a single figure: the share of your food that never reached the bin.
- One catalogue for the whole kitchen - every item in your cupboards, fridge and freezer, with its best-before or use-by date.
- Scan the barcode instead of typing it - point your phone's camera at the packet where your browser supports it, or type the number in where it does not, and Binno fills in the name and brand for you.
- On your phone and your laptop - add it to your home screen or just open it in a browser; there is nothing to install from an app store.
